Rally 4 Reading is Matoska IB’s month of literacy activities ending with a Celebration Event on Friday, February 21st. This year’s theme is “Reading Around the World.” Rally 4 Reading is organized by the PTO, with the help of dedicated teachers and staff. ​

Rally 4 Reading 2025 - How to participate:

1. School-wide reading challenge 

   • Record the number of minutes you read every day on the attached Reading Log. Our goal is 1000 hours of reading as a school!

   • All types of reading count! Read a book with your eyes. Read an audiobook or podcast with your ears. Listen to someone read. 

   • If we meet our school-wide goal of 1000 hours, we will celebrate with a Pajama Day on Friday, February 28th!

2. BINGO Card

   • Be a risk taker and try some new ways of reading! Complete a BINGO on your card and submit it for a chance to win a prize. 

3. Writer’s Workshop

   • Write a story, article, or poem to contribute to the Writer’s Workshop (student writing displayed at the Celebration Event)
