Synergy and the Annual information Update

Each year the school asks families to update their information. As you know, we have moved to a new information system, ParentVue. You should have received information from our district technology with user information. Please note that this may have gone to your spam folder. The annual update is now open.

IB Inquirers

Hello, Matoska families! My name is Julie Stonehouse, and I am Matoska's IB Coordinator! Each month I plan to share a few thoughts connected to an IB concept we are working on here at school.

The Primary Years Program (PYP) is built on three pillars of organization: the learner, learning and teaching, and the learning community. Your students are the learners, you are valuable members of our learning community, and our staff has been working diligently to prepare a terrific school year of learning and teaching.

Our first Unit of Inquiry is Who We Are; it’s unique in that all classrooms begin the year with this unit. The central idea that we are exploring together is: “Understanding and valuing ourselves and others leads to positive relationships in an inclusive community.” We’ll be spending much time in these first few weeks of the school year building and renewing relationships and considering our many identities and how we belong in the Matoska community.

Please reach out any time with questions, thoughts, or to introduce yourself and your family!

My email address is: julia.stonehouse@isd624.org.
